The Seven Habits

The Seven Habits

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Proactive
Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
Habit 3: Put First Things First
Habit 4: Think Win-Win
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood
Habit 6: Synergize
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Habit 1: Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "Ia m the caption of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own hapiness or unhapiness. I am the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)

If you don't have control of yourself in life, you will never accomplish anything. If you have control of your life than you have accomplished many things because you have control. In life if someone doesn't control you eventually someone will.

Habit 3: Put First Things First
"Organize and execute around priorities."

Putting first things first is to be organize in different areas. Such as being in order with your doings. and also to be on everything daily in order not to be irresponsible and slagging on your daily doings. Being organized helps you in being a very responsible persons and a person who cares. In order to be that kind of person you have to be very positive and caring about your do's and others.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal."

To be in this state of mind you have to be in a perspective of point A to point B. It is to never be distracted and to always be in a positive mood about anything. Whether it being something that is for you or against you. To have this kind of mentality you need to be very loyal to what you want to accomplish in order to complete the task. If you give up than you never will complete anything because you will always be negative towards the situation.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."

In order for one to be understood you need to be open minded and understand others. To be understood you need to be very understanding for the person you are talking too. You will also be needing to be very respectful in the other persons point of view. If you gain respect of the others you will then be able to be understood in many different ways.

Habit 6: Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)"

The meaning of this quote is that it represents that the whole work that you do is greater than what you do as the answer. It also means that all the time you're trying it will not equal as much as the work you put into to get the answer.
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimensions of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional

To sharpen the saw it would mean to have reset the way you view things in different ways. How one should think or feel about a situation but it should be positive. To always renew your social terms and your physical terms too. Also how someone would rejuvinate ones self

Reflection: The 7 habits has helped in ways of learning how one speaks and communicates to each other. In ways of making new friends and also learing how one person is. Ways I can imply the 7 habits in my life is using it around people I know or people who I want to befriend.
